We wanted to show our thanks for your support during our first full year back in action.  

What better way than with a LIstyners Appreciation event.  Not only do we have something special for you during the lead up, giveaways, and our usual fun, but we have also dropped ticket prices for this last show of 2023.  All part of our way to say "Thank You"!!!  Bring your record album or CD with a song you would like to share on the awesome Listyn KC stereo system.  Also write a brief note on a card for why you chose this song to share with everyone.  (Please keep songs between 2 and 7 minutes in length so more people get a chance to share).  We'll be playing your songs during our "Lead up" period, and then at 8:30 we'll draw prizes, dim the lights, and "Listyn" to our featured album (Below)  And because we don't play dirty, we'll have GrooveWasher cleaning stations setup to clean records before they go on the table.  Along with that, GrooveWasher will be giving away free cleaning kits to the first 30 people who show up with a song to share. 

 Listyn KC will be featuring an all time classic and frequently requested album, Boston's first album Boston.  Although released in 1976, Boston, famous for being a home-studio recorded masterpiece, is built off the demo tapes Tom Scholz recorded in his basement and first sent out to record labels 50 years ago, in 1973!  Listen to a selection of lead up curated by our friends and fans in this special event. Then enjoy the entire album played on the amazing Listyn KC sound system, brought in just for the show! Doors open at 6:00 pm.  All Listyn KC shows benefit the Center For Recorded Music, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization bringing to life a new world-class cultural center and music education facility in Kansas City.  

Tickets are available for $10 including Non-Alcoholic Beverages or $29 which includes your Food and a selection of Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages (21+ for Alcohol, ID required).  Please bring cash for tipping bartending staff as credit cards cannot be accepted.  Food selection for this show will include a selection of Pizza, Hors d'oeuvres, "heavy" appetizers, and fruit (vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options will be available).  UMKC Catering requires us to have a final food order prior to the show, so the $29 Food and Beverage tickets will only be on sale until the Wednesday before the show (Dec 6th).  We are sorry, but we will not be able to accommodate any additional food requests once ticket sales are closed.  

Our C4RM Bar for this event will feature beer from Crane Brewing Company.  Crane was the first Kansas City based beverage company to hear our call for support and jump right in, so it is only fitting that we finish the year.  We will also have a selection from other KC companies that have sponsored us over the past year.
