About The Event
Tickets On Sale January 15th at 5:00pm CST
Whether or not you go to see the Boss the night before, you should plan to join us in celebrating where it all began 50 years ago, Bruce Springsteen's first album, "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J."
All Listyn KC shows benefit the Center For Recorded Music, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization bringing to life a new world-class cultural center and music education facility in Kansas City.
At the time of its release "Greetings" had little commercial success but some positive critical reviews. Once Bruce began to take off, and after "Born in the U.S.A." people began to take notice and seek out his first album. It even charted in the U.K. in 1985, 12 years after it was released. "Greetings" combines the mid-1960s folk rock sound with accessible melodies, elaborate arrangements, and the lyrics of a poet for the people. All the elements are in place to show how Bruce Springsteen's career would explode over the next decade.
Tickets are available for $15 including Non-Alcoholic Beverages or $35 which includes your Food and a selection of Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages (21+ for Alcohol, ID required). Please bring cash for tipping bartending staff as credit cards cannot be accepted. Food selection for this show will include a selection of Pizza, Hors d'oeuvres, "heavy" appetizers, and fruit (vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options will be available). UMKC Catering requires us to have a final food order prior to the show, so the $35 Food and Beverage tickets will only be on sale until Noon on the Wednesday before the show. We are sorry, but we will not be able to accommodate any additional food requests once ticket sales are closed.
