Listyn KC presents Prince "Purple Rain" 40th Anniversary

Sign up here to receive updates about this show and future shows "Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today To get through this thing called life" Join us as Listyn KC celebrates the 40th anniversary of "Purple Rain" by the legendary Prince!  This album spent 24 consecutive weeks at number one on the Billboard 200 from August 4, 1984, to January 18, 1985, and more than 32 weeks in the top 10, becoming one of the most successful soundtracks ever. Prince also joined Elvis Presley and The Beatles in being the only artists to have the number-one album, single, and movie in the US all at the same time. Listen to a selection of lead up curated to explore Prince's career, influences, and legacy.  Then enjoy the entire album played on the amazing Listyn KC sound system, brought in just for the show! Doors open at 6:00 pm. All Listyn KC shows benefit the Center For Recorded Music, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization bringing to life a new world-class cultural center and music education facility in Kansas City. Tickets are available for $15 including Non-Alcoholic Beverages, or $35 which includes your Food and a selection of Non-Alcoholic and Alcoholic Beverages (21+ for Alcohol, ID required).  Please bring cash for tipping bartending staff as credit cards cannot be accepted.  Food selection for this show will include a selection of Pizza, Hors d'oeuvres, "heavy" appetizers, and fruit (vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options will be available).  UMKC Catering requires us to have a final food order prior to the show, so the $35 Food and Beverage tickets will only be on sale until the Wednesday before the show (February 14th).  We are sorry, but we will not be able to accommodate any additional food requests once ticket sales are closed.
